Our story
It started at home, with family and a craft fair.
Brandi Green is the owner and artisan behind Old Hickory Lake Soap Co. She has been making soap, skin products, and candles for more than twenty years, working from Hendersonville, close to the shores of Old Hickory Lake.
Her sons were dealing with psoriasis and eczema, and she went looking for something different from what they had been using. A local soap maker at a small craft fair introduced her to shea and cocoa butter bars, and that was the start of learning the craft herself.
She is affiliated with the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild and treats education as the foundation of making safe, sustainable products.
Today the shop is mostly online, with booths close to home and vendor events around Middle Tennessee. Customers here are part of the Natural Soap Tribe, and the shop runs on that same idea: quality and community first.
